view from the shore in Jamaica...

"All artists dream of a silence which they must enter, as some creatures return to the sea to spawn."
Iris Murdoch (1919 - 1999) Irish author

LIKE WATER...

Like water,

I drink of her

cool, pure

I am revived.

Like air

I breathe deeply

I feel her kisses like a soothing breeze against my cheek.

adrift on the Caribbean Sea...

THE SADDEST THING

My god

Damn

You sure put a hole

In my soul

You killed a part of me

You really made it hard

For me to enjoy life

After you

Where did you get all that anger?

Some of it I deserved

But much too much of it

Was just thrown at me

Beat down on me

Burned into me

Almost at random it seemed

Just for kicks

Or maybe to ease

Some fatal pressure in your heart.

Is there that much anger

That much pain inside of you?

Im sorry

I tried, I tried

I tried to help you through it

But in the end

It was your or me

And Im not done

Living yet.

Im sorry.
